Completing an Ajax kit
A kit covers the essentials; most homes need one or two extra items:
- a DoorProtect opening detector for each ground-floor entry point;
- a MotionProtect motion detector for each additional passage area;
- a StreetSiren outdoor siren, the most dissuasive element at the casing stage;
- a KeyPad keypad if the kit does not include one.
All items are compatible with the kit's control panel. See the whole range of Ajax alarm, Ajax detectors and Ajax control panels.
Ajax alarm kit fitted at your home
A kit can be installed yourself in half a day, but we can also fit it for you: flat fee of €302.50 incl. VAT (€250 excl. VAT) for up to 10 items within 15 km of Brussels, by Belgium Security Brussels, a company licensed by the FPS Interior. Connection to dispatching from €21.78 incl. VAT per month, which can be added at any time, even after installation. Details on the installation and services page.
Frequently asked questions
Does an Ajax kit work without a subscription?
Yes. The app and notifications are included, with no monthly fees. See Ajax alarm without a subscription.
Can a kit be expanded later?
Yes. A Hub 2 accepts up to 100 devices, a Hub 2 Plus up to 200: you add detectors over time.
Hub kit or Hub 2 kit?
The Hub 2 kit adds photo verification: you see what triggered the alarm. This is the choice we recommend for a house. Comparison: Ajax Hub 2 vs Hub 2 Plus.
