3 V lithium batteries: CR123A, manganese dioxide button cell and D format.
1.5 V lithium battery in AA format.
1.5 V alkaline batteries in AA, AAA, C (LR14) and D (LR20) formats.

Before ordering, note the format and the chemistry marked on the battery to be replaced: a 3 V CR123A lithium and a 1.5 V alkaline battery are not interchangeable, even when the compartment appears to accept both. Also check the number of batteries per device, as many wireless detectors use two. As for maintenance, replace a detector's battery as soon as the control panel reports that the end of life is approaching rather than after the fault, and change all the batteries in a given device at once to avoid mixing different charge levels.
