Ajax Keypads: Arm and Disarm Without a Smartphone

The Ajax app is enough to control the entire system, but a keypad remains essential as soon as there are multiple users, staff, a cleaning lady, or simply someone who doesn't want to pull out their phone when coming home with their arms full.

Models

KeyPad — Wireless touch keypad with numeric code. The basic model: simple, reliable, with several years of battery life. It manages individual user codes and the duress code.

KeyPad Plus — Adds RFID reading (badges and DESFire key fobs). Presenting a badge is faster and safer than entering a code in front of witnesses. This is the recommended model for a business or a location with multiple foot traffic.

KeyPad TouchScreen — Full touchscreen with system status display, group management, and contactless authorization. It provides clear visibility for a multi-zone installation.

KeyPad Fibra — The wired version, for Fibra or hybrid installations, Grade 3 certified.

Security Features

All Ajax keypads include the duress code: a specific code that seemingly disarms the alarm while sending a silent alert to the monitoring center. They also feature automatic lock-out after several incorrect codes, and a tamper contact against removal.

Where to Install It?

Indoors, near the main entrance door, at hand height (approximately 1.4 m). Never install it on the exterior facade: a keypad accessible from the outside is a weakness, not a convenience. If you need to disarm before entering, use a remote control or the app.
