This policy forms an integral part of our general terms and conditions of sale. Seller: Belgium Security Brussels SRL (SecuriShop), Kaasmarkt 24, 1780 Wemmel, CBE 0666.948.937, info@securishop.be, 0800 37 087.

1. Right of withdrawal — 14 days

If you are a consumer, you have fourteen (14) calendar days to withdraw from your purchase, without having to give a reason and without penalty.

The period begins on the day on which you, or a third party you have designated, take physical possession of the last item in the order. For an order delivered in several consignments, the period begins on receipt of the last parcel.

This right does not apply to business customers.

2. How to exercise your right of withdrawal

Before the 14-day period expires, inform us of your decision by means of an unambiguous statement:

  • by e-mail to info@securishop.be, quoting your order number;
  • by post to SecuriShop — Belgium Security Brussels SRL, Kaasmarkt 24, 1780 Wemmel;
  • or via our contact form.

You may use the standard form set out in point 8, though this is not compulsory. Your request simply needs to be sent before the end of the period; the date of dispatch is taken as proof.

We acknowledge receipt of your request and provide you with the return address.

3. Returning the products

Return the products no later than fourteen (14) days after notifying us of your decision.

The direct cost of returning the goods is borne by you. It depends on the carrier you choose and on the weight and volume of the parcel. For bulky or heavy items (storage bays, large-format screens, rack-mounted recorders), these costs may be significant: we advise you to request a quote from your carrier before returning the goods.

We strongly recommend that you send the parcel with tracking and insurance. The risk of the return shipment lies with you until we receive it.

4. Condition of the returned products

You may inspect and try out the product as you would in a shop, in order to establish its nature, its characteristics and that it works properly.

You may be held liable in the event of depreciation resulting from excessive handling going beyond such a trial. In that case, we may deduct from the refund an amount corresponding to the loss in value.

In practical terms, for security equipment:

  • a product that has been unpacked, powered up and tested remains eligible for a full refund;
  • a product that has been drilled, screwed, glued or permanently installed suffers depreciation;
  • a product whose serial number or pairing QR code has been removed or damaged suffers depreciation, since it can no longer be put back on sale;
  • the absence of the original packaging, the accessories, the mounting brackets or the documentation likewise results in depreciation.

Any deduction is quantified and justified in writing.

5. Statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Belgian law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised — in particular a kit assembled to measure at your request or equipment pre-configured specifically for your site;
  • sealed computer software unsealed after delivery, as well as activated software licences;
  • digital content supplied on an intangible medium whose performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal;
  • services fully performed with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose that right — in particular an installation already carried out;
  • activated M2M SIM cards.

If a service has begun at your request during the withdrawal period and you subsequently withdraw, an amount proportionate to the service already provided remains due.

6. Refund

We refund no later than fourteen (14) days from receipt of your decision to withdraw. We may, however, withhold the refund until receipt of the products, or until you have provided proof of dispatch, whichever occurs first.

The refund covers the price of the products and the standard delivery costs initially paid. If you had chosen a delivery method more expensive than our standard offer, the additional cost is not refunded.

The refund is made using the same means of payment as that used for the order, unless otherwise agreed, and at no cost to you.

7. Product unavailable — refund

Part of our catalogue is not kept permanently in stock. If an ordered item proves unavailable, we inform you as soon as possible and offer you the choice of either waiting for restocking or cancelling.

In the event of cancellation, the amounts paid are refunded no later than within fourteen (14) days, without charge or penalty.

8. Standard withdrawal form

To be completed and returned only if you wish to withdraw.

9. Faulty or non-conforming product

A faulty product falls not under the right of withdrawal but under the warranty, described in Article 10 of our general terms and conditions of sale.

The consumer benefits from the two-year legal guarantee of conformity owed by the seller. Contact us with your order number, the product reference and a description of the defect; we will tell you the procedure for handling it. In that case, the return costs are not borne by you.

10. Parcel damaged on delivery

Check the condition of the parcel on receipt. In the event of visible damage or missing items, record a reservation with the carrier and notify us as soon as possible, if possible with photographs of the packaging and contents. This allows us to bring a claim against the carrier and to speed up your case.

Failing an amicable solution, the consumer may contact the Consumer Mediation Service, Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Bruxelles (consumerombudsman.be), or bring the matter before the legally competent court.
