Description
The Ajax MotionProtect Plus detector combines a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and a microwave sensor: two technologies that must confirm the movement before the alarm.
Why the Plus model
Because false alarms come from difficult rooms: veranda, draughts, direct sun. By crossing two sensors, the MotionProtect Plus triggers fewer of them than an infrared-only detector.
Where to place it
- At about 2.4 m high, so that the intruder crosses the field.
- Away from radiators and air-conditioning vents.
- Test the signal in the app before fixing it.
Its limits, frankly
For an ordinary room, the MotionProtect is enough and costs less. And this detector takes no photo: to see the cause of an alarm, switch to the MotionCam.
