The Ajax GlassProtect detector detects glass breaking through an electret microphone and alerts the hub by radio.
What it is for
Raising the alarm when a pane is broken, even before the intruder has come in: glazed bays, French windows, shop windows.
Its limits, frankly
It listens for glass breaking, it does not detect movement: it complements a motion detector, it does not replace it. If you also need a motion detector in the same room, the CombiProtect brings both together in a single unit.
Placing it well
Test the signal in the app before fixing the unit; a ReX repeater extends the range if needed.
What to combine it with
