Description
The Ajax DoorProtect opening detector is a wireless magnetic contact supplied with a small magnet: it reports the opening of a door or window to the hub.
This black version is technically identical to the white version: same operation, same compatibility. It blends in more discreetly on a dark wall, frame or furniture.
What it is for
Monitoring a point of passage: front door, back or garage door, ground-floor windows reachable without a ladder.
Its limits, frankly
A magnetic contact triggers on opening, so when the intruder is already coming in. To react at the moment of forcing, see the DoorProtect Plus, which adds a shock and tilt sensor. And it does not replace a motion detector inside.
Placing it well
Test the signal in the app before fixing the unit; a ReX repeater extends the range if needed.
What to combine it with
A MotionProtect detector for the interior, a StreetSiren siren on the street side, and a Hub 2 hub. See the Ajax detectors and the whole Ajax alarm range.
