AJAX – Power supplies and batteries

This page brings together everything that keeps an Ajax installation running when the power fails or a battery reaches the end of its life: battery packs for the Hub, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, ReX and ReX 2 hubs, the internal battery for the Hub BP, a 12 V 7 Ah rechargeable lead-acid battery, 6 V and 12 V power supply units, and the lithium or alkaline batteries for detectors, in AA, AAA, CR2, CR123A and CR2032.

The point to watch is the exact match with the equipment installed: Ajax battery packs are listed by hub model and by number of pins, and a power supply unit intended for a Hub 2 is not the one for a Hub Plus. For detectors, check the battery format marked on the device before ordering. Replacing batteries and backup batteries is part of the routine maintenance of an alarm system.
